The Informatics Student Association (HMIF) of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) once again achieved an outstanding accomplishment by winning the Best Student Association Award at the annual Pekan Ilmiah Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (PIL MIPA) XXVI. The award was announced during the 7th Lustrum FMIPA USK Awards Night, held on November 22, 2024. This achievement marks HMIF’s fourth consecutive victory, adding another milestone to its growing list of accomplishments.

PIL MIPA XXVI 2024 is the largest annual event organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at USK. What made this year’s event even more special was its conjunction with FMIPA’s 7th Lustrum celebration—a momentous occasion commemorating the faculty’s long-standing dedication to advancing science and education. The FMIPA Awards Night, serving as the grand finale of the PIL MIPA XXVI and Lustrum celebrations, was attended by university leaders, faculty deans, lecturers, staff, and students of FMIPA USK in recognition of the contributions and achievements of the academic community.

Prior to the award ceremony, all student associations within FMIPA USK were required to present their annual work programs, ranging from small-scale initiatives to major projects. Each association showcased their achievements through engaging presentations and creative video displays to impress the panel of judges. The evaluation process involved the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships, representatives from the Student Representative Council (DPM), and several alumni. After a competitive selection process among many excellent associations, HMIF emerged as the top-performing student organization.

Ardian, the Chairperson of HMIF USK, proudly stated,

“This achievement was made possible through the hard work and creativity of all members of the Informatics Student Association. It proves that HMIF has successfully built an environment that benefits all Informatics students and encourages continuous growth and collaboration.”

Through this achievement, HMIF USK continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence, innovation, and student empowerment, solidifying its reputation as one of the leading student organizations within FMIPA USK.
