The Informatics Student Association (HMIF) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) successfully held its General Assembly (Musyawarah Besar/MUBES) for the 2025/2026 period on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The event took place at the Multipurpose Auditorium of FMIPA USK and carried the theme “Strength in Unity, Glory in Leadership, Together We Uphold the Spirit of the Empire.” With this theme, the General Assembly aimed to serve as an important momentum to evaluate the organization’s journey, refine the Articles of Association (AD) and Bylaws (ART), and elect a new HMIF Chair who is expected to lead the organization toward greater progress.

The event was conducted in a solemn and orderly atmosphere with the presence of several distinguished guests, including Afdhaluzzikri, S.T., M.Kom as the Student Affairs Coordinator of the Informatics Department, and Rasudin, S.Si., M.Info.Tech. as the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Informatics Study Program. Representatives from various student organizations (ORMAWA) within FMIPA, active Informatics students from different cohorts, as well as the HMIF management of the 2024/2025 period also attended the event.

The series of activities began with an opening session hosted by Sultan Shadiq and Rozatun Nabila as the masters of ceremony. This was followed by the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Urfan and the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, led by Roseline Balqist. The opening remarks were delivered by the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Ariq Rabbani, who presented the activity report and expressed appreciation for the participation and support of all parties involved. This was followed by a speech from the HMIF Chair for the 2024/2025 period, Glenn Hakim, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and forward-looking vision for the sustainability of the organization. Subsequent remarks were delivered by Afdhaluzzikri and Rasudin, who encouraged all participants to actively contribute to the development and progress of HMIF.

Following the opening session, the event continued with the core agenda of the General Assembly, namely the Plenary Sessions. Plenary Session I discussed the rules of the assembly and the election of the permanent session leaders. Plenary Session II focused on the refinement of the Articles of Association (AD) and Bylaws (ART) to enhance the effectiveness and direction of the organization. The highlight of the event took place during Plenary Session III, where the candidates for HMIF Chair presented their visions and missions before the democratic voting process was conducted.

Through a smooth and transparent voting process, Muhammad Syukri was officially elected as the Chair of HMIF for the 2026/2027 period. In his remarks as the newly elected Chair, Muhammad Syukri expressed his commitment to leading HMIF toward a more visionary, integrity-driven, and impactful direction for both students and the wider community.

The event concluded with a warm sense of togetherness, marked by a group photo session involving all participants and the organizing committee. The HMIF General Assembly 2025/2026 not only served as a forum for organizational evaluation and leadership regeneration, but also demonstrated the spirit of democracy among Informatics students. With the outcomes achieved during this assembly, HMIF is expected to continue developing as a solid organization that provides significant benefits for its members.

Thus, the HMIF General Assembly 2025/2026 was successfully concluded. It is hoped that the strategic steps formulated during this forum will guide HMIF toward a better and more progressive future.
