
On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the Promotion Team of the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala, conducted a Community Service activity at Sukma Bangsa School Lhokseumawe. The team consisted of representatives from the Department of Informatics, Bachelor Program in Informatics, Master Program in Artificial Intelligence, and Diploma III Program in Information Management.
The team arrived at the school at 1:00 PM and was warmly welcomed by the foundation chairman, school principal, teachers, and staff in the school lobby. The welcoming atmosphere was friendly and pleasant. Afterwards, the team was invited to the waiting room for further introductions and to discuss the flow of the activity.


A few moments later, the team was directed to the school library, which served as the main venue for the event. The 11th-grade students had already gathered there and enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of the team. The library provided a calm, spacious, and comfortable environment, allowing the event to run smoothly and effectively.
The official program started at 1:30 PM with opening remarks from representatives of the Department of Informatics and Sukma Bangsa School Lhokseumawe. The event continued with a souvenir handover session as a symbol of appreciation and collaboration between both institutions.


The activity then proceeded with the screening of profile videos of FMIPA, the Bachelor Program in Informatics, and the Diploma III Program in Information Management, followed by a presentation about the admission pathways to Universitas Syiah Kuala. Students also attended a session entitled “The Implementation of AI in Learning Among Students”, which discussed the development of artificial intelligence technology and its applications in the field of education.
At the end of the event, an interactive question-and-answer session was held. The students showed great enthusiasm by actively asking questions and engaging in discussions about higher education, technology, and study opportunities in Informatics and Artificial Intelligence. Through this activity, it is hoped that the relationship between Universitas Syiah Kuala and Sukma Bangsa School Lhokseumawe will become stronger while also motivating students to pursue higher education in the future.
