Banda Aceh – The Informatics Student Association (HMIF) of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) successfully organized the Informatics Sports Week (POINT) 2026 under the theme “Fuel the Fire, Feel the Glory.” Held from May 14 to June 22, 2026, the annual event provided a platform for students to develop their athletic talents while strengthening the bonds among students, alumni, lecturers, and staff of the Informatics Study Program.
POINT 2026 officially commenced on May 14, 2026, at Diaz Sport Centre. The Opening Ceremony featured remarks from the Chair of the Organizing Committee, the President of HMIF, and the Student Affairs Coordinator of the Informatics Study Program, followed by the official opening ceremony that marked the beginning of the competitions. The event concluded with a group photo session involving all committee members and participants.
Throughout the event, participants competed in a variety of sports and e-sports, including badminton, basketball, futsal, chess, Mobile Legends, Valorant, and eFootball. The competitions were carried out in a spirit of sportsmanship and enthusiasm, with active participation from students across different academic batches.
The event concluded with the Closing Ceremony held at Colosseum Coffee on June 22, 2026. During the ceremony, Batch 2025 was announced as the Overall Champion of POINT 2026 for its outstanding achievements across multiple competitions. Meanwhile, Batch 2024 received the Best Supporter Award in recognition of its enthusiasm, unity, and active participation throughout the event.
Through POINT 2026, HMIF USK hopes to continue fostering sportsmanship, collaboration, and a strong sense of community within the Informatics Study Program while strengthening solidarity among its academic community.
