Banda Aceh, March 5, 2026, the Informatics Student Association of Universitas Syiah Kuala (HMIF USK) held the Inauguration Ceremony of the New HMIF Board for the 2026/2027 period at the Multipurpose Hall of FMIPA USK. The event carried the theme “Strength in Unity, Glory in Leadership, Together We Uphold the Spirit of the Empire.”

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Head of the Informatics Department, Dr. Nizamuddin, S.Si., M.Info.Sc., the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Informatics Study Program, Rasudin, S.Si., M.Info.Tech., and the Student Affairs Coordinator of the Undergraduate Informatics Study Program, Afdhaluzzikri, S.T., M.Kom. The event was also attended by representatives of student organizations (Ormawa) within Universitas Syiah Kuala and Informatics students.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Teuku Fikram Al Syahbanna, which took place in a solemn atmosphere. This was followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and the FMIPA Mars, performed by the Informatics Choir Team led by Roseline Balqist.

Afterwards, Ariq Rabbani, as the Chair of the Organizing Committee, delivered a report regarding the implementation of the inauguration ceremony. The event continued with remarks from the Chair of HMIF for the 2024/2025 period, Glenn Hakim, who expressed his gratitude to all HMIF board members and members who had worked hard during his leadership.

As part of the event series, the committee presented a documentary video of the 2026 General Assembly (MUBES), which highlighted the journey of HMIF and the process of electing the new management board.

The main agenda of the ceremony began with the reading of the HMIF Decree (Surat Keputusan) by Rahmatul Uliya, followed by the reading of the Inauguration Script by Rasudin, S.Si., M.Info.Tech. This was followed by the signing of the Handover Document by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Informatics Study Program, the Chair of HMIF for the 2024/2025 period (Glenn Hakim), and the Chair of HMIF for the 2026/2027 period (Muhammad Syukri), symbolizing the official commencement of the new board’s leadership.

The ceremony continued with the procession of bringing the HMIF flag by Ahmad Zikri Pasya, followed by the handover of the HMIF flag from the Chair of HMIF for the 2024/2025 period, Glenn Hakim, to the newly elected Chair of HMIF for the 2026/2027 period, Muhammad Syukri, symbolizing the transition of organizational leadership. As a form of appreciation, the Head of the Informatics Department, Dr. Nizamuddin, S.Si., M.Info.Sc., presented a token of appreciation to Glenn Hakim for his dedication during his tenure as HMIF Chair.

The event continued with remarks from the Chair of HMIF for the 2024/2025 period, Glenn Hakim, who delivered motivational messages to the new board members to continue bringing HMIF toward a better direction. This moment also marked the official introduction of the new management under Kabinet Aksara.

In his remarks, the Chair of HMIF for the 2026/2027 period, Muhammad Syukri, expressed his gratitude for the trust given to him and invited all new board members to work together in implementing innovative programs oriented toward achievements. Syukri also emphasized that joining the student association’s management is not merely for personal interests, but rather to provide broader benefits for Informatics students.

Furthermore, Rasudin, S.Si., M.Info.Tech., as the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Informatics Study Program, delivered remarks and guidance regarding the importance of leadership regeneration and the role of HMIF in supporting the development of Informatics students.

The event concluded with a prayer led by Urfan, followed by a group photo session with all invited guests and the newly inaugurated HMIF board members. With the successful implementation of this inauguration ceremony, it is hoped that the HMIF board for the 2026/2027 period will bring innovation and strengthen collaboration in creating a more progressive academic and organizational environment.
