Banda Aceh, February 15, 2025 – The Informatics Student Association (HMIF) of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) successfully held the Inauguration Ceremony of the New HMIF Board for the 2024/2025 Period at the Multipurpose Hall of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) USK. The event carried the theme “Breaking Limits, Unlocking Infinite Potential, and Creating Impact Beyond Boundaries.”
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ir. Wira Dharma, S.Si., M.P., M.Si. (Vice Dean III of FMIPA USK), Dr. Nizamuddin, S.Si., M.Info.Sc. (Head of the Department of Informatics), Alim Misbullah, S.Si., M.S. (Coordinator of the Undergraduate Informatics Study Program), and Laina Farsiah, S.Si., M.S. (Student Affairs Coordinator of the Informatics Study Program). Representatives from various student organizations (Ormawa) at USK and Informatics students also participated in the event.
The ceremony began solemnly with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Abdurrahman Marzuki, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and the FMIPA Hymn, performed by the Informatics Choir led by Anisa Ramadhani.
Afterwards, Muhammad Syukri, as Chair of the Organizing Committee, delivered a report on the event’s preparation and execution. The program continued with a speech by Ardian, the Chairperson of HMIF for the 2023/2024 period, who expressed his gratitude to all board members and staff for their dedication and hard work throughout his leadership.
Subsequently, Dr. Nizamuddin, Head of the Department of Informatics, and Dr. Ir. Wira Dharma, Vice Dean III of FMIPA USK, delivered remarks emphasizing the importance of leadership regeneration and the strategic role of HMIF in supporting the development of Informatics students.
As part of the event, the committee presented a documentary video of the 2024 Grand Assembly (MUBES), highlighting HMIF’s journey and the selection process of the new board members.
The main session began with the reading of the official decree (SK) by Khalisha Adzraini Arif, followed by the Oath of Office, led by Alim Misbullah, S.Si., M.S., and recited collectively by the newly appointed board members. The handover of leadership documents was then carried out and signed by Alim Misbullah, Ardian (Chair of HMIF 2023/2024), and Glenn Hakim (Chair of HMIF 2024/2025), symbolizing the official start of the new term.
The ceremony continued with the flag procession, where Halim Elsa Putra carried the HMIF flag, which was then passed from Ardian to Glenn Hakim as a symbol of leadership succession. As a token of appreciation, Dr. Ir. Wira Dharma presented a souvenir to Ardian in recognition of his dedication during his tenure as Chair of HMIF.
In his first official speech, Glenn Hakim, the newly appointed Chair of HMIF for the 2024/2025 period, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and called upon all members to work together in implementing innovative and achievement-oriented programs. He emphasized that joining HMIF’s leadership is not merely about personal growth, but about making a meaningful contribution to the Informatics student community.
The event proceeded with closing remarks from Ardian, who shared motivational messages for the new board, encouraging them to elevate HMIF to greater heights. To officially inaugurate the new cabinet, “Kabinet Beyond,” the ceremony continued with guidance and directions from Alim Misbullah, followed by a tumpeng (traditional rice cone) cutting ceremony, attended by the Department Head, Vice Dean III, Student Affairs Coordinator, and the new Executive Board of HMIF 2024/2025.
The event concluded with a closing prayer led by Muhammad Sidqi Alfahreza and a group photo session with all invited guests and newly inaugurated board members. Through this inauguration, it is hoped that the HMIF leadership for the 2024/2025 period will bring fresh innovation, strengthen collaboration, and foster a more advanced academic and organizational environment within the Informatics community.
