Banda Aceh, April 2025 – Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) has once again achieved an outstanding milestone. The Undergraduate Program in Informatics, under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), has officially received the “Excellent” accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Board for Informatics and Computer Science (LAM INFOKOM).
This recognition is stated in the official decree No. 028/SK/LAM-INFOKOM/Ak/S/III/2025, confirming that the “Excellent” accreditation status is valid for five years, from March 17, 2025, to March 17, 2030.
The achievement follows a thorough field assessment conducted by LAM INFOKOM assessors from February 25 to 27, 2025. During the assessment, the team evaluated various key aspects including curriculum quality, faculty qualifications, supporting facilities, and student learning outcomes.
The Head of the Informatics Undergraduate Program at USK expressed gratitude and appreciation to all members of the academic community who contributed to this success. “This Excellent accreditation is the result of collective hard work from the entire team—lecturers, staff, students, and alumni. It stands as evidence that USK’s Informatics Program upholds high-quality standards and strong competitiveness at the national level,” he said.
With this achievement, the Informatics Program at USK is expected to continue producing competent graduates who are adaptable to technological advancements and ready to compete in the professional world as well as in higher academic pursuits.
